Jeff Dommer disappeared from a Milwaukee bar in the late 80s and early 90s. The police were suspicious of gay men, black men because they didn't understand them. Once you're gay, everything else gets thrown out: Oh, he's gay. And it makes sense that they just disappear without a trace. Over and over again.
