Christmas 76 - The Music Revolution

There wasn't even a uniform. There were maybe 15 punks and seven of them were based in Croydon. It felt like there was a ground swell of sort of like youth culture exploding. By the end of 77, when we've had, we opened for Elvis and the attractions at a gig in London, not a flare to be seen in the house. Flares were last seen in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, you know. And the soft boys, you know, we've had them, I had a beard at the beginning of 1977. But by the middle of 1977, everyone had got rid of their flair, trousers, all the mustaches and the beards were going.
