Galileo dressed more casually, or the 16th century version of upper-class casual. He was like the professor who would roll into class with bedhead and a cool vintage leather jacket. The story goes that in the course of his mathematical studies, Galileo eventually became skeptical of Aristotle's assertion that objects of different weights should fall at different speeds.
