Aberration by Timothy McVay
Aberration is erudite. It's provocative. Like I can't stop talking about it because I enjoyed it so much. Other than being, for my money, the definitive work on Timothy McVay, it is functionally also an amazing reference point for a host of different topics. There are times when you read aberration where you will literally put the book down because you can't stop laughing or at least I did. Aberration reminds me in some ways of Moby Dick, not stylistically or even thematically, necessarily, except in general, like the pursuit of this elusive, ineluctible truth.
