In your book, Kimberly Crenshaw argues that identity politics is just a formula for dividing us. She says it's not about whether you believe in class struggle but if you're committed to radical transformation of our society which will improve the lives of masses of people. "The dream of the Marxist tradition was to try to create a homogeneous population," she said.
