What's Ambivalence in Queer Communities?

LZ Granderson: I want to dive into a little bit more about how ambivalence comes up in your research with queer communities. How this kind of manifests in the future? And how can it manifest in people's lives and also like the institutions and events that happen for the LGBTQ communities in a place like River City)? LZ: The first thing we need to do is understand what ambivalence means. Right folks and vigilant feelings affected what they actually did to support community or not. But there really is not that much research focused on the experience of BIPOC folks in small cities, particularly in LGBTQ communities.
