Iwa Krama receives millions of dollars in donations from an oil company. To date, Exxon has donated seven million dollars to Iwa Krama through its foundation. Goben is well aware of the optics and how people might be irked by a conservation organization receiving millions of dollars for their work. For Goben, there's little difference between taking money from Norway or taking money from, say, Exxon.
