Buddenbrooks - A Novel About the Art of Life
Buddenbrook was a fantastic novel to have been brought forth by a young man in his early twenties. It traced what was happening in europe itself throughout the nineteenth century, a movement away from the romantic dynamic of life into practicality. This notion of what might be called psychological or spiritual morphology formed all these works. And affirmation of this whole thing comes in Zarathustra with terrific force.
