Onissimus, the Name of a Christian Slave

There was still debate and worry that having a Christian person and then keeping them in slave, in slavery was wrong. Cotton Mather decided to wade into the foray of talking about anti-slavery as well. In 1706, he publishes his tract, the Negro Christianized, which included a catechism for slave conversion.
