The book begins in Iran. And there's a repressive regime there. There isn't a hot war, although there have been really intense protests of late. I thought maybe there is a durable paradise that can outlast even the harshest forms of reality. The place called Zakhaz Paradise in South Tehran is actually a graveyard,. with 1.5 million dead bodies there.
