The Diffusion of Innovations
There is a book that I like called The Diffusion of Innovations. In it, Everett Rogers talks about the process by which an innovation is communicated through certain channels over time among members of the social system. So you got to be very on top of your game to know exactly what those world views are in order for the diffusion of an innovation to be accepted. If you don't have these variables in place, an innovation or like a new invention, you're just going to have like the knee jerk reaction is to reject new new things.
