Is There a Necessity of a I?
Fasism is about working with difference rather than an elimination of it. The kind of mutuality and mutual aid that you're talking about as being the origin, like here would be the origin of the national health service. It's not so much the idea of difference that is a problematica but the way those differences get frozen essential, that they become essentialized. And we see varying forms of that moment, from sort of religious facisms or purely political facisms, or eco pacism. You know, these are all, in the end, reductionist and simplistic divisions of us and them, i are based on some supposed and yet vital, innate difference.
