Is There a Job for the Blind?

In the Soviet Union, everyone has a job. They have special resorts for people who are blind. If you cannot hear, they have special jobs for you to sort of self realize,. Special unions for you, like you're part of with other people in a union and then you have your own special trips to the sea to rest. And now you're back to a life of precarity, hounded by poverty, the real threat of homelessness, not having access to healthcare and other basic needs, et cetera. It's so hard for me to imagine because, you know, I grew up as an adult in the US and then post Soviet Georgia, which is both terrible places.
