Psychologists estimate that about 5% of the general population will at some point in their lives have an out of body experience. They are telling us that just about everything we take to be real about ourselves is a construction and can come apart. Despite such doubts, I personally, think that the self has no reality outside of the brain and body - what does one make after the body is gone?
