Prehistoric Animals and the Atrium of Time

There has been a lot of writing on the type of mammals that are in here. A Gliptodon is a big prehistoric armadillo, and a Smilodon is a Cervarain tiger. So we've got post-dinosaur mammals. I don't know if there's anything to be teased from that, but I like the imagery. It's just the closest analog by saying it was a bear, but it was an alien bear to what we know.
