The Importance of Difficult Actions in Sport

If the game is radically unfair, then it won't be very competitive. So competitiveness isn't itself the intrinsic value that I'm after. What I'm after is the intrinsic value of difficult actions. And I think if there is an intrinsic value for sport, I think it's trying to do difficult things.
