There's an election coming up and if yeltsin loses, the communists are going to get back in. For many russians, it was a scary prospect. And that's where michael capute came in. He worked for a pro democracy organization funded by the us Government. By night he immersed himself in the culture of a nation emerging from its own dark shadows.
