The Meditations Are Written in a Very Vague Way

The most famous passage in the meditations is a good illustration of tis. We can imagine being in marcus aurelius's head, but we don't really see what he's reacting to. The abstract version is easier for us to identify with and adapt to our own life. But when we see the people that hes surrounded with, then we imagine him actually applying it to them. Andi it adds a whole depth ofthing to our understanding of some of the things that he's saying.
