The Origin of Husband in Old Norse
Husband is one of those corpe terms which a language doesn't usually borrow from another language. As danes anglo saxons began to marry each other, norse words began to pass to anglo saxon spouses and then pass on to their children. The fact that english borrowd the norse word shows that there was very cose and intimate contact between the two groups.
