The Effect of Ritual on Health, Wellness and Performance

Roxanne Jones: Ritual comes very naturally to us. She says that as we get more stressed, our behavior becomes more rigid and repetitive just like a ritual. In other words, the most stressful time in our lives is low sound of the most important job or applying for an important job. We know exactly what is going to happen when we perform a ritual, she says. And this gives us a sense of predictability and control over situations. This is why you see people in top jobs performing better at it - because they have rituals associated with them.
