In may of 1979 Khomeini by Khomeini's order the islamic revolutionary guard corps is founded. Sepah pah staran has a dual and hybrid military and palamir paramilitary structure. The first year of the revolution feels like this incredible moment of openness at the same time there are these decentralized groups who are essentially taking on law enforcement duties because the state has collapsed.
