In 2016 a man died in a house fire and news spread quickly, especially when it was revealed that he was murdered prior to the house being deliberately set alight. It was the first local murder in my 19 years of growing up there and the town went mad. Streets were closed down as the police used drones to search for the murder weapon. Everyone was pretty nervous. I immediately forgot and didn't mention the neighbor's visit because I'm a forgetful little fool. Your brain isn't done fucking forming yet.
