The History of Phagones

The Eliaver Institute in Georgia is home to the world's largest phage clinic. Phages are a type of bacteria that play an important role in keeping our gut healthy. During World War II, they were massively used by Soviet soldiers against cholera and gaskongering. The institute grew and grew, making phage preparations and vaccines for the entire USSR.
