Every state has a fund that money goes into when it goes unclaimed by the person it belongs to. You can go on your states directory, look up your last name and find out if there is any money owed to you through one of these state funds. A friend's parents found 35 hundred dollars that belonged to her dad from some old investments through a company that got sold down the line. They took it and planned a vacation with it.
