Is Jesus Not Enough?
Is Jesus enough? Is it enough to know that you were saved from your sin? And not. Because Jesus tells us about the Holy Spirit in John 16. He says, if I do not go away, the helper will not come to you. So our concern is unsaved people going into the church. You do not have the law on their heart and they don't have the Holy Spirit indwelling yet. How are they to know they haven't read the Bible? This authoritative looking man who's very successful is on stage saying, this is a word from God. That person is not going to have the wherewithal to discern. It looks like a golden calf to me.
