The Problem With the Celtic Identity
Greek and Roman texts refer to certain groups of people as Caltoi or Gali. These people were very much on the move around continental Europe from at least 5th century BC onward. The Irish, Welsh and Brettons didn't really recognize themselves as long-lost ethnic kin prior to the discovery that the languages were related.
