i was born in 19 67, so i kind of started becoming of age and in conscious of politics. As a lawyer, i worked on a lot of free speech cases, including controversial ones. It tends to be people who have very unpopular views wor argeted with censorship. So if you wanto defend free speech, you end up defending on people with unpopular views. And then it's a journalist. I think thet dominance in that decade by things like relatively unimportant sex scandals and the like indicates that politics was kind of low stakes. Then it was followed by the nine 11 attack, which was exactly the opposite. That's what motive aided me to go wriht about politics
