People with Parkinson's disease, a lot of the dopamine neuronal cell death actually occurs in the midbrain. Trigeminal nerve going in and out because in sensory outmoder, it's a mixed nerve. So that they're mixing up signals opposed to the integration and the perception of it? Great question. We should do an episode on synesthesia. That'll be super cool.
In this full length episode, Dr Matt & Dr Mike discuss the brain! Walking through structures including the different lobes, cerebellum, brainstem, basal nuclei, hypothalamus, and more!
