The Role of World War II in Russian Cultural Memory

The Great Pitcher of the War gives people something to feel proud of after a period when you know, people didn't feel very proud to be Russian. The only thing that's really discussed and Putin makes a lot of references to this in his 2020 essay on the causes of origins, I think of World War II. And anybody who doesn't agree with this interpretation of history is deemed as Nazi or trying to amend the results of 1945. To bring this into everyday life was essentially what my PhD looked at - whether we make it part of our everyday life...
