Trade Unions and the Industrial Revolution
The british motor industry, i think, became an emblem of all the economic problems and also the industrial strife as well. In th 19 seventies, about 50 % of all employees were members of a trade union. That is now about 23%. And most of those are in the public sector these days. So at the trade unions sort of piake of their power. I think we're just going to see our living standards drop a bit.
