The Pythagorean Way of Life

Pythagoreans were followers of Pythagoras, according to Plato. They believed in metam psychosis and practised a way of life that allowed for reincarnations after they died. The idea here is something more like membership of a sect than of a philosophic school. We have a very strong, if complex, chain of evidence which links early Pythagoreanism with what seem to be ritual prohibitions.
