The Virtues of Intelligence
The whole of the realm of goodness becomes an object of our knowing, well then will as the appetite of intellect. We can desire all of these things in terms of their goodness for us. The potency of our nature as the image of God becomes actualized. To this point that we have to introduce the virtues. These three virtues perfect our speculative life, our pursuit of knowledge simply for the sake of knowing. There are also perfections of our three powers that are important, not simply to perfect our knowing for the sakeof knowing, but our knowing forthe sake of doing.
