The History of Baghdad
The vastness of the moslem world now made it easier to share ideas and convey messages across large distances. The city's close proximity to the tigris river meant that it had good access to the maritime silk road. Paper production techniques migrated over to baghdad from the lands of china, as well as some seramic production techniques. Baghdad also contained a modern hospital built on expert biological knowledge of the human anatomy thanks in part to a book written by a philologist called al asmai.
