Socrates, Plato, Aristotle - The Big Names
The most basic theory of knowledge is born out of plato either reciting or crafting or summarizing some dialogues that as a student of socrates in the fifth century b c, he heard socrates have with other people. Bacon's big innovation was we need a system of observation and repetition and duplicate ability by which we can start with no assumptions about the world and do home work to arrive at conclusions.
