Cats have evolved, alongside humans to meow in a way that sounds to us like a human baby. So we give em forcan attention. They have hacked the attachment behavior of human infants. We are hardwared as adults to respond to the sound of a baby's cry. Because there they have, a baby can't falk and feed itself. A baby can't do anything. It has to have its caregiver to feed it and to keep it.
