The Relationship Between Productive Procrastination and Well-Being
The idea that just because you're putting off one thing that that is a bad thing to be doing doesn't necessarily mean that it's an unproductive use of your time. So we call it productive procrastination to distinguish it from this idea that, you know, you're slacking off and like going off to have fun instead of doing the things that really matter. Sometimes people may need to take a break and you can take a break while still maintaining engagement and productive useful activities.
