What's the Connection to Elon Musk in Project Mars?

Alex believes that there is a prophecy about the arrival of an alien called elon in a book written 100 years ago. Care also believes that the notes could time travel, which would make sense if they can go back in time. The show really is a manifestation of what happens when you take claims and then you try to explore them past the surface level.
