This is January 1945 in what is now like Russia or north of Poland. The streets have to be cleared off civilians because they are being run over by tanks. There's basically two options: hide from the cold or try and get inside the Allied zone. How freely were these citizens done? Was it like welcome to a German soldier's helping them flee, you know,. I imagine millions of German citizens from East Prussia would flee.
