Haywood argues that full self determination in the form of concrete political power is not on the immediate horizon yet. But he says it should be the goal of black liberationists and socialists. Haywood: The only way to really protect the equality of black people is through the concrete form of political power. from that position of political power, black people could then reach out to the white working class in a socialist context.
