The Impact of Technology on Emergency Management
The book was initiated by FEMA and I think they saw that technology was something that could be positive impacted on emergency management. One of the areas where we have seen more challenges but more contributions is in the area of social media. The photo sharing videos is just amazing. You can choose whether that is positive or negative. It's kind of like that Deming plan to check act right but for disasters. When we talk disasters are we talking natural or man-made? It doesn't all of the above. That has really expanded the technology becomes easier and easier.
