How is this history all rewritten to, you know, sort of i guess i exclude smuts, maybe, from more popular memory? I mean, yes, i think that's a good question. But i think there is a more general way of thinking about a subaltern or black politics and black political thought, in which it's always derivative, right? It has, its origins are always in the west. And all it becomes a way of telling that story as one of diffusion.
