The Extended Mind and the Enembodied Cognition Hypothesis
The extended mind and embodied cognition hypothesis is based on the idea of a brain in a vat. If you had your brain transplanted into another body, wouldn't that still be the case? As long as you can do all that in the vat, then I think the vat is just a kind of different physics for the same old reality that we inhabit already. What it's what you can do with perception action loops that I think really matters most here. Those, I think, are super essential to cognition.
