Alcohol Associated Hepatitis - The Most Important Clinical Pearls
The most important thing for these patients in the long run is complete alcohol abstinence. They do need close follow-up with your multidisciplinary team it's the hepatologist, substance use disorder counseling program that they're going to be connected with and potentially nutrition outpatient follow-up or even social work if there's some social work needs. I would say too just the importance of general supportive care for these patients when they do come to the hospital because again steroids are not our civil bullet they don't completely fix this.
