Project 100 Thousand, a Project of the Johnson Administration
Project 100 thousand was a plan to train men with cognitive deficiencies or mental handicaps in the US military. Under that umbrella, they would also learn discipline, work, ethic and general good lessons succeeding in life. It's worth noting that there appears to have been a conflation by macnamera between the poverty stricken and the mentally challenged.
