In orthodox tradition, the god is both transcendent and imminent at the same time. The best thing to do is not worry too much about schisms and civic things anyway,. Ultimately it's just, you know, this amorphous beings will and doesn't matter so much. It would be mostly a statement of individuality on that end anyway. Allowing people to form those communities on the outskirts if they share your religious views. If they're persecuted, they're all the better for it and are martyrs.
