The best way to treat this disease is to catch it early because the loss that occurs is irreversible. Just having that baseline eye exam at age 40 or if you have a family history earlier yet, or if you're on chronic steroids having a baseline exam. Patients in more moderate or severe stages will notice, you know, blind spots in their vision or constricted peripheral visual field. But it tends to be a very silent disease unless you have the acute angle closure forum.
