The Civil Rights Act of 1991
In 19 91, the law's passed, and i think it gets something like 90 senate votes. There was this consensus that discrimination has to be intentinable. This was after the rigand revolution. So you think, you know, conservatives are supposed to be considered more conservative now. But they're terrified at these dear in the headlights, tay. They don't like issues of race or sex. The lawyers generally did understand that this law was going to be a problem. And i think ultimately, o, the emotional distress damages side of it was actually more important a then than the desperate impact side of it.
