The Evolution of Thylacines
Thylacines are marsupials like kangaroos and possums so they have a pouch that they carry their young in. They probably developed around 2 million years ago but were never domesticated. Adult Thylacines weigh between 25 and 50 pounds though they can be lighter or heavier than that. Their range of sizes are about the same as border collies which are typically 30 to 55 pounds. There's also a difference in size and weight between the two sexes. Male Thylaciner tend to be bigger and heavier than female Thylacine.
