In any interaction people are always going to be looking, what's this person's motive behind what they're saying? So that's why we need to be super Machiavellian. He says three things can happen: Either if you challenge any of their self opinion, the first thing they're going to do is their defenses are going to go way up. The second road is just lead their self opinion in a neutral position. Neither challenge nor confirmed, if you say in a moment where you disagree with them.
