The Politics of Elite Capture
If you're a very advantaged person, you have a much easier life and a much easier political environment to navigate. And I think that's part of what's going on with elite capture. Now all of a sudden the people who have won election to office, you have to lobby that in order to get them to do what you want. Not just convince them in a way that maybe a debater convinces the audience or something. But now you have to bribe the regulator in some places in the US and the broader world if you want them to regulate the industry in a way which allows you to do whatyou want.
